Hub International Creates Cross-Sell Leadership Role

Hub International Ltd. appointed Kyle Bloemers as national chief cross-sell officer, a new position designed to drive business growth and deepen client relationships across the organization.

Bloemers will lead an enterprise-wide strategy connecting Hub’s commercial lines, employee benefits, private client, and retirement and private wealth businesses, while coordinating efforts across the firm’s 34 geographic regions in North America.

According to the company, the role is part of a broader push to accelerate organic growth and expand access to Hub’s full range of services.

Lincoln Financial Elevates Executives to Senior Management Committee

Lincoln Financial Group promoted Darrel Tedrow, Curtis Chesney and Paul Spurr to its senior management committee as part of a broader leadership transition and succession planning effort.

Tedrow was named executive vice president and president of life insurance and retail shared services; Chesney was appointed executive vice president and president of annuities; and Spurr was named executive vice president, chief risk officer and chief actuary.

The appointments coincided with the planned retirements of Brian Kroll, who was head of retail life and annuity solutions, and Andy Rallis, who was the company’s chief risk officer, effective June 1.

According to the company, the moves reflect a multi-year effort to develop executive talent internally and will create dedicated leadership structures for its life insurance and annuity businesses.

Empower Promotes Daubenspeck to Lead Government, Taft-Hartley Business

Empower named Marybeth Daubenspeck executive vice president of its government and Taft-Hartley businesses, placing her in charge of a segment that serves roughly 14,400 retirement plans, 7,590 clients and approximately 6 million participants. Daubenspeck, who most recently served as vice president of government markets, will oversee growth strategy, client relationships and operations across the business.

A longtime company veteran who joined Empower as a legal secretary at age 19, Daubenspeck succeeds to one of the retirement provider’s largest business units and will report to Joe Smolen, president of workplace solutions.

Andrew Oringer Appointed NYSBA Professionalism Committee Chair

Wagner Law Group attorney Andrew Oringer was appointed chair of the New York State Bar Association’s Committee on Attorney Professionalism.

Oringer, a partner in and general counsel of Wagner’s employee benefits and executive compensation group, advises clients on employee benefits, tax and fiduciary matters.

In addition to his work at Wagner, Oringer serves as an adjunct professor at Hofstra University’s Maurice A. Deane School of Law and has held leadership roles within both the New York State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
