Morningstar Wealth Introduces Model Portfolios With Private Market Access
Morningstar Investment Management LLC announced that its Morningstar Wealth division is working with Apollo Global Management Inc., Franklin Templeton Investments and J.P. Morgan Asset Management Holdings Inc. to launch a suite of public and private model portfolios that give financial advisers access to private markets.
The portfolios will be constructed with exchange-traded funds and interval funds to make private markets usable in individual investor portfolios.

Morningstar public/private select series will bring together Morningstar Wealth’s asset allocation and manager research, public market strategies from Franklin Templeton and J.P. Morgan Asset Management, and private market strategies from Apollo and Franklin Templeton.
Morningstar Wealth has $370 billion in assets under management.

AE Wealth Management LLC, a registered investment adviser and wealth management turnkey asset management platform, debuted a securities-based lending solution.
Clients can access capital for a variety of short-term cash flow needs, such as business investments, real estate purchases and education funding. They can borrow against eligible investments, including stock, bond, exchange-traded-fund and mutual fund holdings, with no fees or prepayment penalties and the flexibility to draw or repay funds. It is now available to individuals, trusts and organizations.
SEI Introduces Unified Technology to Boost Investment Manager Efficiency
SEI Investments Co., a provider of financial technology, operations and asset management services, offers a platform that combines SEI Data Cloud, the firm’s centralized data foundation, with SEI Scope, a manager portal.
SEI Data Cloud provides a secure, scalable data foundation that ensures governance and accuracy, while SEI Scope delivers actionable insight through configurable workflows, analytics and digital investigation of net asset value.
The provider also introduced integrated waterfall calculation and scenario analysis tools that connect directly to live fund data, enabling managers to model distributions in real time and learn how operational decisions drive investor returns.
SEI managed, advised or administered approximately $1.9 trillion in assets as of March 31.
Clearwater Analytics Launches Fund Analytics
Clearwater Analytics Holdings Inc. launched Fund Analytics, a private markets intelligence product built on an investment data foundation that powers institutional accounting and books of record across more than $10 trillion in global assets.
The product is expected to structure and validate private market data before that data reach the analytics layer for fund managers.
The four capabilities of the platform are: performance analytics and benchmarking; portfolio monitoring and look-through analysis; liquidity forecasting; and document processing and data validation.
StepStone, PitchBook Release Deal-Level Benchmarking Tool
StepStone Group Inc., a private market investment firm, and PitchBook Data Inc., a private capital markets intelligence provider and Morningstar company, announced that SPI Deal Benchmarking, the deal-level benchmarking tool first unveiled in the firms’ May partnership, is now live and accessible to fund managers and service providers. It is available through the PitchBook platform as a stand-alone offering and to investors through SPI by StepStone.
The tool is designed to bring deal-level benchmarking into PitchBook users’ existing workflows, pairing SPI by StepStone’s performance and operating metrics with PitchBook’s private capital data, research and artificial-intelligence-powered tools. All outputs are aggregated and anonymized to protect fund manager and deal confidentiality.
Users can access an analytics interface to report performance, exposure, deployment, operating metrics and value creation analysis for private market deals. They can also filter and report across strategy, industry, geography, size and time period.
StepStone had $885 billion of total capital, including $233 billion of assets under management, as of March 31.
