I love my dog, but she’s not exactly a great traveler. If she were, one of the first places I’d bring her would be Savannah—a city I visit often from my base in Atlanta—where she could sniff her way through one of the nation’s most beautiful historic cities. Whenever I’m in the Hostess City, I can’t help but notice how welcoming it is to dogs, with pups dotting the lush squares and lounging on restaurant patios at places like the Collins Quarter in Forsyth Park and Foxy Loxy Cafe in the Starland District. Even famed Leopold’s Ice Cream makes special sundaes for furry friends to enjoy alfresco.

It’s no surprise, then, that plenty of hotels in town welcome four-legged guests, too. And bringing your dog doesn’t mean sacrificing luxury or hospitality at the best pet-friendly hotels in Savannah. The properties below pair stylish accommodations and thoughtful service with amenities for pups, easy access to green space, and, in some cases, even special menus. Here are nine pet-friendly hotels in Savannah, GA where your dog can feel right at home.
